“ I can’t believe how good their food is. It’s consistently amazing. This is our favorite Chinese food place in New Braunfels and Canyon Lake. It’s amazing. The meat is so soft and buttery, the baby corn is insane- I have never been to a place that serves baby corn that doesn’t have a earthy almost bittery taste and this place knows how to cook it! It’s sweet but not sugary sweet, just cooked correctly. The waiter is always on top of things and we have never had anything bad from here. If you’re thinking of trying it out, do it! Pictured is mixed vegetables with chicken and I added cashews and have steamed rice. The other is low mein with combo meats. ”

“ This is the best Chinese food in New Braunfels and surrounding area. A gem hidden off exit 187 on IH35. Menu has many dishes and the food is made fresh and large portions. Staff is extremely friendly. Today’s visit we had the best Egg Foo Young ever. This is definitely worth a visit. Don’t know what you’re missing. ”

“ Golden City in New Braunfels is a great spot for tasty, budget-friendly Asian food. We had the Kung Pao Chicken with lo mein and Spicy Garlic Chicken with fried rice—both were delicious and came in large portions. The service was friendly and quick. Highly recommend for a satisfying meal that won’t break the bank. ”

“ Today I got to eat at this place with my family and surprisingly I enjoyed the food very much! Very fresh, very authentic, also they didn't wait to bring it out like some do, which is nice cause sometimes food gets cold like that which can be very upsetting. Atmosphere is a tad bit awkward since it's so quiet and no music going. Some people may like it more than I. Overall tho the main thing I enjoy is the lunch special from 11-3 which I got general Tso's chicken for under 9$ with rice and egg roll and that was some of the best I had in a long time(p.1). My father in law got mixed vegetables with a combo for 10$ which is a mix of all the meats and shrimp. My wife got sesame chicken for 9$ with white rice and egg rolls as well(p.2)! We got fried wontons(p.3), crab ragoons, and sesame balls(p4) it was definitely delicious and a wonderful experience and I definitely recommend people to try it out once and then come again another time like I will! ”

“ Quiet little place, excellent food. We went around 3 and were the only customers there, the waiter was very attentive and all the food came out quickly. It was delicious. All together, we had egg drop soup, fried wontons, crab rangoons, and three of the spicy lunch menu dishes. Easily the best rangoons I've ever had ”

“ I am definitely coming back!! Growing up in the north with my family we always ordered takeout that was always so good, however when we moved down here most of the Chinese food was just subpar. Until my husband took me here!! Tastes just like childhood to me! I got the moo shu with pork and it was so fragrant that you can taste everything they put in there. I honestly will recommend this place to anyone who likes Chinese food and grew up on it!! ”

“ Went to Golden City in New Braunfels. It was quite and cozy at 7:45 pm. We were greeted with interest and seated immediately. We were given a few minutes to review the menu. The server came back and took our order. We ordered the Combination Singapore Mei Fun, Beef Mei Fun and fried Wontons. The food was served piping hot and we waited less than 10 minutes before it was delivered to the table. The quality was excellent! The mei fun tastes is amazing! The fried Wontons were delicious but have a peculiar unidentified flavor. 10 out of 10 - highly recommend! I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is the best Chinese food in New Braunfels. ”
